NEW CHAIRMAN FOR STAMP ACTIVE NETWORK
The committee of Stamp Active Network are pleased to announce that Susan Henderson has agreed to take the position of Chairman of the organisation. She replaces John Davies who remains very involved with SAN as Events Manager. John is to be greatly thanked for his many years service and congratulated on his election as President of the GB Philatelic Society.
Susan is no stranger to the philatelic scene, having started collecting as a young girl with her father, Fred Myers, and sister, Jean Wood. She was secretary of the Leeds Junior PS for a number of years, and a successful junior exhibitor in Leeds and the Yorkshire Federation. Moving on she has been a member of Banbury, Newcastle and Tynemouth societies and is now a member of Durham PS. With the rest of the family, she is a keen supporter of the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain, being organising secretary for Harrogate in 1978 and Vice Chairman at Newcastle in 1992 and Scarborough in 1998.
With such a solid background we are delighted to welcome Susan and look forward to working with her.
